Update: Man Involved in Cecil Accident Released From Hospital

The 41-year-old man had been flown to a Pittsburgh hospital last week.

A UPMC Hospital spokeswoman on Monday afternoon said a 41-year-old man who crashed in Cecil on Thursday evening while riding his motorcycle along state Route 980 has been released from the hospital.

Cecil Township police Lt. Shawn Bukovinsky said last week that Brian Keith Chase lost control of his blue 2001 Suzuki Intruder while traveling north on the road. Chase was flown to UPMC Presbyterian for treatment, he said.

Bukovinsky said alcohol may have been involved and that police are still investigating.
