UPDATED: Canonsburg Teen Charged As Adult in Alleged Kidnapping

Faasauvale Sele and another teen were charged in connection with an alleged kidnapping in South Strabane Township Nov. 12.

A Canonsburg-area teen is one of two in Washington County jail on charges they kidnapped someone with the intent to "inflict injury or terror."

Online court records show Faasauvale Sele, 17, of Canonsburg, and Richard Lacks, 17, of Washington, were also charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping for ransom, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated assault—all felony counts.

The pair had been charged by South Strabane Township police as adults in the alleged Nov. 12 kidnapping and assault of a 21-year-old Canton Township man at Billy Bell Park, according to the Observer-Reporter newspaper.

Sele and Lacks were arraigned Friday before and remanded to the Washington County Jail on $50,000 straight bond, where they remained Monday.

Both teens are scheduled to appear before Weller at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday for his preliminary hearing.
