Waynesburg Man Waives Drug Charges to Court

Court records show that Charles Lemely waived his right to a preliminary hearing on possession with intent to deliver charges and other offenses Tuesday.

A Waynesburg man who charged earlier this month with a felony count of possession with intent to deliver waived his right to a preliminary hearing on that and all other offenses Tuesday.

Charles Lemley, 23, was also charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct, which is a summary violation.

North Strabane charged him with the crimes after finding heroin following a car crash, according to the Observer-Reporter.

He was arraigned Oct. 12 before district Judge Jay Weller and was remanded to the Washington County Jail after being unable to post $25,000 bond.

Lemley remained jailed until Tuesday, when he posted an unsecured bond, court records show.
