UPDATED: Woman Injured in Muse House Fire

First responders said the victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

First responders said one woman was taken to the hospital for burns suffered in a Muse house fire on Tuesday afternoon.

Crews from the Muse, Canonsburg, Cecil and Houston volunteer fire departments responded to the blaze, which reportedly started in the upstairs of the duplex on Beech Street.

Fire, police and ambulance vehicles lined the streets as volunteers worked to clear the scene.

Neighbor Roy Copeland looked tired as he paced outside his portion of the duplex, saying that because he works the midnight shift, he was "dead sleep" when the fire started.

"Some lady, I don't even know who she was, just started banging on the door," he said.
