West Point will be the state representative out of Section 2 in the state tournament. While, the Collier Township boys feel like they could have advanced farther they still accomplished a lot in this run.

"We felt like the season was a success even though we wish we could have went further," coach Steve Alauzen said. "We had a small group of kids to pull from this year. We need to get more regular season participation so we have a larger group of kids to choose from."

Not only did Collier learn about the pressures of playing in tournament setting but they learned about the level of intensity that can help them in the future.

"The kids learned life challenges such as how to deal with adversity and tough situations," Alauzen said.

The competition level definitely helped the Collier team get better and made the fact they advanced to the Section tournament even that much more satisfying. Collier certainly used teamwork and got contributions from every member of the team to advance to the section championship round.

“Every win and loss was a team effort,” Alauzen said.
