The boy was <a href="http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2018/05/18/philadelphia-police-boy-killed-hit-run/#.Wv85ed9PSnc.twitter" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">crossing the street on the 1000 block of Shunk Street at about 3 p.m.</a> Friday, May 18 when he was hit, according to CBS Philadelphia. Action news reports the <a href="http://6abc.com/boy-11-dead-after-hit-and-run-in-south-philadelphia/3492509/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">boy was rushed to a local hospital</a> but was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
