2 Kids Hit By Car Walking To School Tuesday: Reports

Two children, one 8 and the other 4, were hurt after being hit by a car as they walked to school Tuesday in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA — Two children, one 8 and the other 4, were hurt after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday as they walked to school in Philadelphia, according to police.

The incident occurred at about 7 a.m. at 20th and Diamond streets as a girl, 8, and a boy, 4, were walking with their mother, Action News reports.

A passenger in the striking vehicle said the children ran out into the road.

According to NBC10, both the boy and girl are listed in stable condition after suffering cuts and bruises.

The driver stayed at the scene, CBS Philadelphia reports.
