2 Philadelphia Hospitals Among Best In PA: U.S. News and World Report
Penn Presbyterian was first out of the 27 hospitals in Pennsylvania ranked by U.S. News and World Report.

U.S. News and World Report on Tuesday released its list of the best hospitals across the country and two in Philadelphia made the list of top hospitals in Pennsylvania.
The top-ranking hospital in Pennsylvania was Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian, in Philadelphia, which came in ninth nationwide. Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia was ranked third in Pennsylvania.
The rankings looked at how each hospital performs across different specialties, procedures and conditions. To compile the rankings, U.S. News and World Report used several different objective measurements such as patient survival, number of patients and staffing numbers. The publication also used survey data from qualified physicians, who were asked to name the top five hospitals in their specialty.
