2 Sought In West Mt Airy Double Shooting: Philadelphia Police​

WEST MT AIRY, PHILADELPHIA – Two men are sought in a double shooting that occurred March 22 in West Mt. Airy that left a man and woman injured.

Philadelphia Police said the shooting occurred at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, March 22 at the intersection of West Pomona and Cherokee Streets.

A 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were sitting inside a vehicle when two men got out of a truck and fired more than 20 rounds at them, police said.

The victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their conditions are unknown.

The gunmen were driving a dark four-door pickup truck that may be a Nissan Frontier, police said. The truck has tinted windows and a truck bed cover.

Both suspects are described as black men in their mid 20s.

One was described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall with a skinny build who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt under a red puffy jacket with white patches. The other is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall with a heavy build and a beard who was wearing a black jacket.
