3 Philly Restaurants Ordered To Close By Health Department

Three Philadelphia restaurants were ordered to shut their doors after flunking health inspections this week.

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood and Steaks as well as two Subway locations were ordered to cease and desist operations, according to a report by the Inquirer.

McCormick & Schmick's received a particularly disturbing review by health inspectors.

Philly.com reports there was wastewater backing up inside the restaurant, a foul odor and leaks of non-potable water coming into the kitchen.

Further complicating the unappetizing situation, the restaurant did not follow the health department's orders and continued to serve customers, the report said.
