3 Straight Days Of Snow Possible In Pa., Forecasters Say

Snowfall will be "mainly light" but there is a potential for "locally high accumulations," the National Weather Service says.

There is a chance of snow Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week, forecasters are predicting.

Snowy weather is expected to move into the Philadelphia region Monday night, and could linger through Wednesday morning. About three inches of snow is predicted, but ”worst case” scenario maps predict up to six to seven inches throughout Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

“A general 1-3 inches of snow will fall with locally higher amounts. Amounts reaching or exceeding 3 inches are most likely over the mountains, but a zone of moderate snow can extend to the mid-Atlantic coast as the storm strengthens,” Accuweather predicts.
