4th Annual Petapalooza In Chestnut Hill Set For July 9

Bring your fur babies to Philadelphia's Garden District next weekend for a fun-filled day of all things pets.

CHESTNUT HILL, PHILADELPHIA – Chestnut Hill will host the 4th Annual Petapalooza next weekend and you, and of course your pets, are invited to enjoy all the pet-themed fun in Philly's Garden District.

The annual event will be held from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, July 9 on Germantown and East Highland avenues in Chestnut Hill.

The day will feature a variety of activities for both animals and their humans to celebrate all things pets.

Activities include a doggie pool to cool your pooch off, a paw readers, a pet caricature artist, face painting, a bounce house, a "Yappy Hour" at several businesses, and much more.

There will also be dog training exhibitions, veterinarians, and pet service provides on hand to offer information and help to pet owners.

Additionally, Woodmere Art Museum at 9201 Germantown Ave. is offering pet-friendly tours of their exhibits as a special event for Petapalooza.

Don't have a pet but are looking for a furry friend? Pet rescue organizations such as the Pennsylvania SPCA, Philadoptables, PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) and Morris Animal Refuge will be at the event with animals in need of forever homes.

Chestnut Grill, El Poquito, Paris Bistro, Top of the Hill Café, and MARKET at the Fareway will host "Yappy Hour," as well.

The 4th Annual Petapalooza is hosted by Chestnut Hill Business District and Weavers Way Co-op.
