5 Shot Outside Germantown Store, 1 Critical: Philadelphia Police

PHILADELPHIA – A shooting outside a Germantown Avenue store Wednesday afternoon hurt five men were shot, leaving one in critical condition, according to police.

Police said the men were shot at about 2:38 p.m. Wednesday while outside of the Dollar General store on Germantown Avenue in the Germantown neighborhood.

A 20-year-old man was shot once in the head in the incident, police said. He was rushed to Einstein Hospital where he is in critical condition.

The four others – two of whom are 20 years old and the others ages 23 and 19 – are all in stable condition at Einstein after being shot in the hand, foot, and arm.

Police have not found a weapon nor have they made an arrest.
