Armed Robbers Steal $1,500, iPhone From Germantown Restaurant

PHILADELPHIA – Armed robbers made off with $1,500 and an iPhone after holding up a Germantown restaurant on Monday, March 5, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said two men came into the Golden China Restaurant on Chew Avenue at about 9:49 p.m. Monday, March 5.

The men forced an employee to the back of the store at gunpoint and took gold iPhone 7 from the employee as well as $1,500, police said.

They fled the area on foot heading south on Chew Avenue toward East Woodlawn Street, police said.

No one was injured and no shots were fired, police said.

The suspects are both described as black males. One was wearing a dark puffy jacket, gray pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black mask. The other was wearing a green hooded jacket, a dark mask, dark pants, and black/white sneakers.
