Body Found Wrapped In Blanket In Philadelphia Friday

Police said the male body had gunshot wounds to the eye, chest, and back when it was found early Friday morning in West Oak Lane.

PHILADELPHIA – A body was found wrapped in a blanket early Friday morning in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section, according to police.

Police found the body at about 12:05 a.m. on the 200 block of Stenton Avenue after responding to a call for a person screaming in the area.

Police said the body was of a 46-year-old black man suffering from gunshot wounds to the eye, back, and chest.

He was pronounced dead at 12:06 a.m., police sad.

Action news reports the body is believed to have been dropped there.

Police have not made any arrests and are investigating the incident.
