Auction is open for pre-bidding until Thursday, September 10th at 10AM, at which time pre-bidding will cease and the auction will go live at the auction center (no live audience, just our auctioneer and auction staff).Collectors of fine watches will find an exceptional group of Swiss timepieces, including a Patek Philippe 18K Yellow Gold Gondolo Ref. 5009, Franck Muller Casablanca Ref. 2852, Chronoswiss Opus, Breitling, and a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso. The jewelry section features a GIA 3.10 Carat G VS1 round brilliant diamond and further includes diamond, emerald, sapphire, ruby, tanzanite, pearl, coral, and topaz jewelry in platinum, 18K gold, and 14K gold.
The silver category offers an extensive selection of sterling flatware and hollowware from leading American makers, including Gorham, Reed &amp; Barton, International Silver, Wallace, Dominick &amp; Haff, Durgin, Alvin, Stieff, and Watson, with numerous complete flatware services, tea services, candelabra, chargers, and serving pieces. 
 
Standout decor includes Rosenthal - Versace porcelain and crystal, Murano and Iitala glass, Bernard Leach pottery, and bronze sculptures by Robert MacDonald and Antonio Salemme. 
 
Furniture highlights include a George Nakashima Frenchman's Cove II dining table, an important R.J. Horner &amp; Co. Atlas Figural dining room suite consisting of the extension dining table, sideboard, china cabinet, server, and lion's head dining chairs, as well as an R.J. Horner &amp; Co. for Tiffany &amp; Co. tall case chime clock, JWS Studios and Chiparus Art Deco Revival lamps, and MCM pieces by Warren Platner, Isamu Noguchi, Lane, and John Stuart.

Alderfer Auction presents a furniture liquidation of a Philadelphia Sports Complex that features contemporary bar seating, dining chairs, café tables, high-top tables, reception desks, and commercial hospitality furnishings used in this summer's global championship competition.

Seating is the primary focus, with numerous sets and pairs of upholstered bar chairs, bar stools, dining chairs, and molded plastic seating. Styles range from contemporary and industrial to Mid-Century Modern inspired designs. Many examples feature grey or light-colored upholstery paired with black metal frames, while others incorporate curved wood or wood-veneer backrests, tubular frames, sled bases, tapered legs, and integrated footrests.
The auction also includes numerous coordinated bar-height and café table sets. Tables feature wood, white laminate, and faux marble tops paired with black, chrome, brushed metal, or black-and-brass pedestal and frame designs. Several larger industrial-style high-top tables measure approximately six feet long and are accompanied by matching or complementary stools, while smaller round pedestal tables provide options for café, restaurant, and hospitality seating arrangements.
Commercial fixtures include three reception counters or desks, including modular and faux marble designs with storage cabinetry, raised transaction surfaces, decorative trim, and contemporary finishes. These pieces complement the broader selection of contract-style seating and tables.
With 40 lots largely devoted to coordinated commercial seating and tables, the sale provides an opportunity to acquire chairs in multiples rather than individually. Offerings range from four-chair dining and bar sets to pairs of stools, complete café arrangements, high-top table-and-stool combinations, reception furniture, and individual tables.
The catalog is particularly well suited to restaurants, cafés, bars, offices, waiting areas, event spaces, and other commercial interiors, with many chairs offered in matching sets.

Discover the benefits of boarding school during the middle school years. Join representatives from 11 junior boarding schools and local educational consultants for an informative panel discussion designed to answer families’ common questions:
<ul><li>What is junior boarding school?</li><li>How can boarding during the middle school years support a student’s academic growth, independence, confidence, sense of belonging, and preparation for high school?</li><li>What is daily life like, and how do schools help students adjust to living away from home?</li><li>How can families determine whether junior boarding is the right fit for their student?</li></ul>
The program will explore academics, residential life, extracurricular opportunities, student support, the admissions process, and preparation for secondary school. Following the discussion, families will have time to meet representatives from participating schools, ask individual questions, and learn more about each school’s distinctive community and programs.
Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:15 p.m. Families are welcome to arrive later and join us as their schedules allow.
Advance registration is encouraged; walk-ins are also warmly welcomed.
