Chestnut Hill Man Charged With Sex Assault At Rehab Center: Cops

A patient at a local healthcare facility has been arrested after being charged with raping an unconscious victim.

CHESTNUT HILL, PHILADELPHIA — A Chestnut Hill man who is a patient at an Abington healthcare facility has been charged after sexually assaulting a victim within the township, police said.

Pasquale Neri, 60, from the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, was arrested on Nov. 29 after staff at a local facility notified police.

Police did not say specify in what facility the assault took place, and further circumstances surrounding the assault were not immediately disclosed. The charges listed in court documents are "rape of an unconscious victim."

Authorities noted that facility staff "acted quickly" when they discovered what had happened.

Neri was arraigned, and bail was set at $100,000, which he did not post. He was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 12.
