The event is a continuation of the candidate's recent aggressive appeal to black voters. He's currently polling a dismal 2 percent of support among African- American voters. Trump is also scheduled to visit a predominantly black church in Detroit over the weekend in his quest to shore up additional support among African-Americans.
His new effort to appeal to black voters began in August, as some polls showed he had zero support from the demographic.

"What do you have to lose?" Trump asked black voters, speaking to a mostly white audience, during an event in Dimondale, Michigan, in mid-August. "You're living in poverty. Your schools are no good. You have no jobs. Fifty-eight percent of your youth is unemployed. What the hell do you have to lose?"
