Donald Trump Should Be Banned From Philly, Mayor Says

Donald Trump should be banned from Philadelphia in light of his comments suggesting Muslims should not be allowed in the United States, Mayor Michael Nutter said Tuesday.

“If I had the power, the only banning that would be done is that I would ban him from Philadelphia. We don’t have any room for that kind of stupidity here,” Mayor Nutter said, according to NBC10.

Trump drew controversy after he issued a statement Monday saying the United States should bar all Muslims from entering the country until the nation can “figure out what is going on.”

Trump issued a statement saying:

“Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad and have no sense of reason or respect for human life.”
