East Mt. Airy Home Damaged By Saturday Fire

Luckily, no one was injured in the fire.

An East Mt. Airy home was damaged by a fire Saturday afternoon and luckily no one was injured.

The blaze broke out in a two-story row home at about 4 p.m. Saturday on the 6000 block of Ardleigh Street, according to the Philadelphia fire department.

Crews had the fire, which was showing heavy flames upon arrival, under control in by about 4:20 p.m., according to the fire department.

Eleven fire apparatuses and about 40 personnel were on scene, the department said.

No civilians or firefighters were injured in the blaze, the department said.
