Gravers Lane Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new work by glass artist Joanna Manousis. The show will include a body of original pieces beautifully made in such materials as glass, bronze, mirror, and cork.
Joanna Manousis holds an MFA in Sculpture from Alfred University (New York) and a BFA in Glass from The University of Wolverhampton (England). She has worked, studied, and taught in Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and has received a number of scholarships and awards for both her blown glass as well as her kiln cast sculpture. These include a Bombay Sapphire nomination, the Frabel award for ‘Best Artist,’ and a Finalist entry in ‘E-Merge,’ 2010. Most recently, Manousis received an artist residency at the Museum of Art and Design in Manhattan. She also recently received the honor of being UrbanGlass' 2012 MFA Awardee and is featured in the 7th Annual MFA Exhibition in Brooklyn, NY. She currently resides in the United States and works as a freelance glass artist in Philadelphia.
