Tradition in the arts, especially painting, give ritual and meaning to each painted stroke. In a decade where more artists have traded pixels for paint brushes the painted canvas could go the way of the Disc-man. In it's continued goal of bringing together the old and the new, Nichols Berg Gallery along with curatorChristian Patchell, is proud to present "The newTraditonalist" featuring the work of Kyle Margiotta, Paul Palcko, Rory Devine and Anthony Pedro. These four artists embrace tradition, some even include touches of the modern and the surreal.Their vocabularies are varied and impressive, including words like underpainting and glazing as well as uploading and texting.
