Tom Steigerwald, a Philadelphia native, was known for his beautiful trompe l'oeil botanical paintings. Steigerwald created his masterpieces on Masonite, cut into the petal and leaf shapes of his subjects and painted to give depth. His mural-like works, featuring the flowers and plants he loved, will be on display at the Chestnut Hill Gallery from May 5th through the 19th in a show presented by his wife, Patrice.
Opening Reception May 12th, 6-9 PM
