Ex Temple Football Assistant Arrested On Prostitution Charge In Texas, Report Says

A former training assistant with Temple football who left for Baylor with ex Owl head coach Matt Rhule was arrested after allegedly soliciting a prostitute in Texas, according to multiple reports.

Brandon Washington, 33, was arrested by McLennan County Sheriff's deputies at a hotel on a solicitation of prostitution charge, according to the Waco Tribune.

Baylor's athletic department released the following statement on Washington's arrest:

“After a full criminal background check was completed and cleared, Brandon Washington was recently hired as an assistant in the Football Strength and Conditioning area. Baylor was notified on February 4 of Brandon Washington’s arrest and terminated his employment immediately that day.”

Washington was released after posting $1,000 bail Feb. 4, the Tribune reports.

Rhule, who led the Owls to several successful seasons during his time at Temple, said Washington's "actions are completely unacceptable."
