Former Chestnut Hill Academy Teacher Accused Of Sexually Abusing Students Sentenced In N.J.
Frank "Sandy" Thomson IV is accused of sexually abusing students at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy when he was a math teacher and coach.
A former Springside Chestnut Hill Academy teacher who has been accused of sexually abusing students in the 1970s was sentenced to prison time in New Jersey after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a boy in New Jersey.
Frank “Sandy” Thomson IV was sentenced to one year in prison for molesting a child and grooming another for sex in Cape May, New Jersey.
When Thompson pleaded guilty to that crime, two former students came out saying Thompson abused them when they were students at the Chestnut Hill school.

One victim said he was touched inappropriately by Thompson during a wrestling session and the other said he never mentioned being abused twice during sleepovers because Thompson was "integrated" into his family.
Philly.com reports Thomson could ask for early release after three months in prison and would serve the rest of his time under house arrest with electronic monitoring, followed by parole supervision for life and potentially be made to register as a sex offender.
