Four Wounded In Mt. Airy Shooting Early Friday Morning

Four people were injured Friday morning after about seven gunshots were fired outside a Germantown Avenue bar in Mt. Airy, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said said the incident started inside 7165 Restaurant on Germantown Avenue as an open mic night was going on and an argument broke out.

As the crowd moved outside, the shooting then occurred.

Police said an unknown male got a handgun out of a red vehicle and started shooting.

Police said the suspect is a black male in his late 20s or early 30s with a brown complexion and dreadlocks.

The outlet reports one of those shot was a bartender attempting to quell the unrest outside the bar.

Philly.com reports said it's unclear if the shooting targeted the victims or if the victims were involved in the fight.

A vehicle that was taking one of the victims to a hospital crash shortly after leaving the area of the shooting, according to the outlet.

A car trying to take one of the victims to a hospital crashed a few blocks from the shooting scene, 6ABC reports.

One victim, a 26-year-old suffered a gunshot in the back and leg and was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center by police.

A 26-year-old male was struck in the hand and was also taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in a private vehicle.

A 26-year-old female bartender was struck in the knee was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center by Medic 10.

A 25-year-old male was taken to Chestnut Hill Hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the leg and right side and was later transferred to Temple Hospital.

Police said all victims are in stable condition.

Philly.com reports no arrests have been made and police are confident they will find the suspect or suspects due to the amount of witnesses and security footage.
