"Hamilton" Could See A Run In Philly At The Kimmel Center: Report

Officials at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia are looking to bring the hit Broadway show "Hamilton" to Philly.

The Philly Voice is reporting officials have been in touch with "Hamilton" representatives in attempts to bring Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip hop history lesson to the City of Brotherly Love.

“Many have asked about the touring schedule for this season’s mega-hit, Hamilton," Kimmel Center spokeswoman Leslie Patterson-Tyler told the Voice. "Our city is a desirable market, and we continue to review the show’s availability."

The Voice reports the show is in New York (obviously) and Chicago at the moment and will head to London soon. The "Hamilton" website shows 18 other cities that will see productions of the Alexander Hamilton-focused musical that has caught the nation's ear, but Philadelphia is not listed. Yet.

Hamilton would be fitting in Philadelphia as the city was the hub for many of our nation's founders during the birth of the United States.
