Head-On Collision With SEPTA Bus, Car Hurts 5 In Mt Airy

SEPTA said four bus passengers and the driver of a car were sent to the hospital following a head on crash in Mt. Airy Wednesday afternoon.

MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA – Five people were hurt when a SEPTA bus and a private vehicle collided head on Wednesday afternoon in Philadelphia's Mt. Airy neighborhood.

SEPTA officials said the crash occurred just after 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mt. Airy.

An L Route Bus and the sedan car crashed into one another on the 6900 block of Stenton Avenue, SPETA said.

Four SEPTA passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The car's driver was also taken to the hospital but the extent of their injuries are unknown, SEPTA said.

SEPTA said as of 3:30 p.m. the crash scene has yet to be cleared.

Patch has reached out to Philadelphia Police for more information on the collision and will update the story when details are made available.
