Help Reshape Mt. Airy's Lovett Park

Community input is being sought for potential art installations and public programming in the park as it undergoes renovations.

MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA – Officials are asking the for the public's input on how Lovett Park in Mt. Airy should be shaped as it undergoes renovations.

Mt. Airy USA and the Free Library of Philadelphia want to hear you proposals for potential public programming and art installations in Lovett Park as part of the Reimagining the Civic Commons initiative.

If you choose to share your thoughts on programming and art, bear in mind these guidelines:

  • The suggestion free and open to the public;
  • it appeals and is accessible to diverse and inter-generational audiences;
  • it provides opportunities for interaction, enrichment, and engagement;
  • and it positively reflects the spirit of Mt. Airy.

You can use the online form here to submit your proposal.

Proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee on a rolling basis and all submissions will receive notification via email regarding the status of their proposal, organizers said.

The park is set to reopen in early November this year. Organizers said proposed events with dates prior to the reopening will not be considered unless otherwise agreed upon.
