Man Charged In SEPTA Bus Teen Shooting

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office said Tuesday that charges have been filed against a man accused of shooting three teenagers on a SEPTA bus in mid April.

According to the DA's office, Brandon Ferguson, 24, of Philadelphia, was arrested at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in connection with an incident that occurred at about 1 a.m. Thursday, April 16 on a Route 58 SEPTA bus.

Ferguson, a security guard, is accused of shooting three teenagers on the bus, which was captured on video, the DA's office said.

Four counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person.

According to Fox 29, two 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy reportedly were in an altercation with a man on the bus, allegedly Ferguson.

The DA's office requested $250,000 bond conditional on the Ferguson turning in his firearms, which included an AR-15 rifle and two hand guns, and ammunition to the Philadelphia Police.
