Man In Critical Condition After Saturday Mt. Airy Shooting: Police

Police said the victim was uncooperative and he said didn't know who shot him.

A 41-year-old man was shot in the leg over the weekend in Mt. Airy, according to Philadelphia Police.

Officers responded to a shooting at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 on the 200 block of East Phil Ellena Street in Mt. Airy and when the arrived the victim was found laying in the street with gunshot wounds to his leg, police said.

The victim, police said, was uncooperative, saying he did not know who shot him, and was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

Police said the motive and shooter are unknown at the time and the crime is being investigated by the Northwest Detective Division.
