Molotov Cocktail Thrown At Philadelphia Home

Police said two men were seen pouring gas on the outside of a home then throwing a molotov cocktail at it over the weekend.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are seeking two men who threw a molotov cocktail at a home over the weekend, causing damage to the home.

The incident occurred at 4:19 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21 at a home on the 7400 block of Rugby Street.

Police said the victim was home with her child and heard a fire alarm go off.

When she woke up she saw her outdoor air conditioning unit was on fire, police said.

Security footage showed two men pouring flammable liquid on the home then throwing a molotov cocktail at the home, causing the fire and moderate damage to the home.

No one was hurt in the incident, police said.

One suspect was described as a black man in his late 30s to early 40s with a thin build and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

The second was described as a black man in his mid 20s with a thin build and facial hair who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
