Mt. Airy Area Rite Aid Robbed Saturday Night: Police
Police said the suspect acted like he had a gun, but a gun was never seen or fired.
A Rite Aid in the Mt. Airy area was robbed Saturday night and Philadelphia Police are looking for the suspect.
According to police, the incident occurred at 10:18 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Ogontz Avenue Rite Aid.
The suspect entered the store and approached a store employee, indicating he had a gun in his pocket, police said.

The suspect then forced the employee into a back office and forced other employee to get on the floor in the office, police said.
The suspect demanded money and store employees turned over the night's cash deposits to the suspect, according to police.

The suspect put an undetermined amount money in a dark backpack with lime green accents and fled the area in an unknown direction, police said.
Police said no shots were fired and no one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect is a white or Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. Police said he has dark hair that is thinning in the back. He was wearing a dark knit hat, black fleece shirt with "Merit" written on the left chest, black pants, black boots, and the backpack with green accents.
Police said the public should not approach the suspect and should call 911 immediately if he is spotted.
