An overnight storm that came through Friday caused a slippery commute and delayed schools throughout the region.

Forecasters issued a Winter Weather Advisory late Thursday, saying an overnight system could bring up to three inches of snow to the area, causing a messy commute Friday morning.

But exactly how much snow fell in the overnight storm? It doesn’t look like it was the full three inches predicted, but it was enough to get the plows moving and cause delayed school openings.
