Pennsylvania Municipal Official ID'd in Anti-Trump Grafitti Video

The Fresh Market grocery store had anti-Trump graffiti spray painted on it Friday Nov. 25.

An assistant city solicitor for Philadelphia has been identified as one of the men responsible for the anti-Trump graffiti found on a Chestnut Hill grocery store, according to a city official.

Craig Straw, the first deputy city solicitor in the City of Philadelphia Law Department, confirmed Wednesday that Law Department Assistant City Solicitor Duncan Lloyd is one of the men seen in the surveillance video.

“To my knowledge, Mr. Lloyd has already contacted the Philadelphia Police and is cooperating with them," Straw said in a statement. "We will decide on a course of action once we obtain more information about the investigation. We do not condone this type of behavior from our employees.”

Lloyd is the man seen taking photos of the vandalism, not the man tagging the building.

The vandalism occurred Friday Nov. 25 at about 12:10 a.m. at the Fresh Market grocer, 8200 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia.

The estimated value of damages is between $3,000 and $10,000 due to the composition of the stone used during the construction of the facade, police said.

Patch has reached out to city police for more information on the incident and potential charges, but police told Philly.com that no arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning.

According to Lloyd's LinkedIn page, he has been employed by the city since 2011 and is a Temple and Penn alumnus.

Anyone with information regarding the alleged crime is asked to contact Detective Williams of the Northwest Detective Division at (215) 686-3353 or (215) 686-3354.

To submit a tip via telephone, dial (215) 686-TIPS (8477) or text a tip to PPD TIP (773847). All tips are confidential, police said.
