Philly Has 'America's Best Coffee Shop'

Philadelphia has the best coffee shops, at least according to one list.

Daily Meal released its list of “America’s Best Coffee Shops”  and a number of Philadelphia-area shops made the list. Ultimo, in South Philadelphia, topped the list, but other nearby locations like Town Hall Coffee in Merion Station also made the list.

That’s all well and good, but what’s the best place to get a cup of coffee in the Northwest?

According to Yelp.com, the two highest-rated coffee shops in the Chestnut Hill – Mt. Airy area are Chestnut Hill Coffee Company and the High Point Café.

On our site, the highest-rated coffee shop is the High Point Café on Cresheim, which Patch user John Goldsborough said has “the best baked good ever … excellent coffe … [and] a great staff.”
