Philly Police Recruits Resign Over Alleged Exam Cheating

One recruit is accused of giving answers to the department exam to others, according to police.

PHILADELPHIA — After being accused of cheating on the Philadelphia Police Department exam, several PPD recruits have resigned, according to police

Ten new recruits were accused of planing to cheat on exam last week.

One recruit got the answers to the department exam and gave them to several others ahead of the test, police said.

A recruit not part of the scheme saw this happen, and told his superiors, police said.

Officials investigated the incident and as a result, all 10 involved resigned.

Had they not resigned, they would have been rejected during their probationary period.

Police said the cheating scheme was discovered prior to the test being given, So those recruits who were in violation never actually took the exam.
