The team raised $1,800 through online donations and raffles.

Chestnut Hill College had more than 70 walkers participate as part of the “Lynette’s Griffins” team at the Autism Speaks walk on Nov. 2 at Citizens Bank Park.

The College’s team, named in honor of Lynette Bishop, an alumnae of Chestnut Hill College who passed away shortly after her 2010 graduation, raised $1,800 for Autism Speaks through online donations and raffles.

Joining Chestnut Hill’s Council for Exceptional Children on the walk was the College’s women’s softball and soccer teams, Lynette’s mother and family members, and Tony Coelho, author of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
