Pit Bull Attack In Philadelphia Leads To Lab Mix Being Euthanized: Report

A dog had to be put down after a brutal attack Friday morning in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia, according to the Philly Voice.

The Voice reports a woman was walking an 8-year-old lab mix dog when two pit bulls attacked the dog, causing such severe injuries that the lab had to be euthanized.

The attacking dogs are still on the loose, according to the Voice.

The Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia are planning to patrol the area of 23rd Street and Fairmount area where the attack occurred, the Voice reports.
