Poetry Lovers Come to "Poetry Sunday" at Restoration Church this Sunday

"POETRY FROM THE HEART" at UU Restoration Church:

During our regular Sunday Service at 11:00 AM, Sunday, July 20th

Plan to bring a couple of your own poems written from your heart, or favorites by other poets, and recite them from the Restoration Church podium this Sunday. (There'll be more poems available if you should forget.) Each reading can be up to one page long, but shorter poems are encouraged so everyone has a chance to read.

This is an exciting event each summer. Bring friends; non-members are always welcome. This year we focus on poems expressing our own spiritual depth, which may include the ideals we share with most UUs or the broad diversity of other traditions that inspire us. We will honor two brilliant African American women, Maya Angelou and Ruby Dee, who died in 2014. Read your own or bring your favorite poems, and join us on the 20th!
