Possible Grenade Found In Germantown Home: Philadelphia Police
Bomb squad crews responded to a home on Burbridge Street Wednesday morning after a homeowner found a suspected grenade in his basement.

GERMANTOWN, PHILADELPHIA – A bomb squad was called to a home in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood Wednesday morning after a new homeowner found a suspected grenade in the home's basement, according o Philadelphia Police.
Police in the 14th District said they were called to a home 6300 block of Burbridge Street after 9 a.m. Wednesday when the homeowner found the grenade in the basement.
By about 10:45 a.m. police said the scene was clear and the grenade was confiscated.

Police said there is no danger to the public.
