SEPTA Conductor Shot In Mt Airy, Gunman On Loose: Officials
SEPTA officials said a conductor on the Chestnut Hill West line was shot at Carpenter Station Friday afternoon and the shooter is at large.

MT AIRY, PHILADELPHIA — A conductor on SEPTA's Chestnut Hill West Regional Rail line was shot Friday afternoon and authorities are searching to the gunman.
According to SEPTA, the shooting occurred at about 3:30 p.m. at the Carpenter Lane station in West Mt. Airy.
The conductor was off the train when they were shot by an unknown man, SEPTA officials said.

After the shooting, the man fled the area.
SEPTA said no other injuries were reported in the incident.

The conductor was taken to Einstein Medical Center for treatment, however their condition is unknown.
The Chestnut Hill West line is out of service for the time being and riders can use the east line as a potential alternative, officials said.
