Teen Shot, School Lockdowns Lifted: Philadelphia Police

A 17-year-old girl was shot once in the shoulder Monday morning near three Philadelphia high schools, according to Philadelphia Police.

PHILADELPHIA – Three Philadelphia schools were locked down after a teenage girl was shot Monday morning near the schools, according to Philadelphia Police. All three schools' lockdowns have been lifted, police said.

Police said a 17-year-old girl was shot once in her right shoulder Monday on the 1600 block of Olney Avenue near Central High School.

The shooting led Central High School, the Philadelphia High School For Girls, and Widener Memorial School to be locked down, police said.

The girl went into Central High after being shot then was taken to Einstein Hospital where she is in stable condition, according to police.

Police did not find the weapon and have not made any arrests.
