Uber Benefiting SPCA Wednesday With 'Puppydraft'
You can hang with puppies Wednesday by using a special promo code in the Uber app. Proceeds will help the SPCA's lifesaving mission.
As the NFL draft grows ever nearer and causes stress for Philadelphians just looking to get from point A to point B, Uber and the Pennsylvania SPCA are patterning to help relieve stress and to fin forever homes for puppies.
The ride sharing company and the animal advocacy group are teaming up Wednesday, April 26 to host Uber Puppies: Draft Edition.
According to the PSPCA, offices in Philadelphia will have the opportunity to "draft" puppies 15 minutes.

We all know puppies are cute, but these puppies will be in football jerseys just in time for draft weekend.
All of the puppies featured Wednesday are adoptable, too.

Between at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, Uber users in Philadelphia can open the Uber app, enter the promo code "PUPPYDRAFT" under the Payment menu, slide over to PUPPIES and request 15 minutes of puppy time for $30, the PSPCA said in a release.
Uber will in turn donate those proceeds directly to the Pennsylvania SPCA.
“Working with PSPCA is a great opportunity to use Uber’s technology in support of a wonderful cause,” Brian Hughes, General Manager for Uber Philadelphia, said in a statement. “We hope that by the end of the day, each of these adorable, adoptable puppies will be drafted into their Philly forever home."
"Hosting NFL Draft Weekend in Philadelphia is such a special time in our city’s history," Julie Klim, CEO of the Pennsylvania SPCA, said in a statement. "The PSPCA’s history in this city dates back 150 years, and we are still to this day working to protect animals and prevent cruelty here. We couldn’t think of a better, and more fun way, to spread the word about our mission with the nation’s sports fans watching."
The Puppy Draft is available in University City, Center City, Old City, Northern Liberties, and the Navy Yard.
"These cute canines will be in high demand, and availability will be limited. Please be patient," the PSPCA said in a release. "We’ll be working our tails off to make sure players get to as many of you as pawsible!"
