Water Slide Block Party Planned In Philly This August
Philly will be the scene of the biggest block party of the summer when a 1,000-foot water slide arrives on Aug. 6.

A portion of Philadelphia will be transformed into the scene of the biggest block party of the summer when Slide the City arrives on Aug. 6, according to an announcement from the company.
The thousand‐foot slide travels the country all summer giving locals a chance to for some slippery, splashy fun. It will be set up that day at Sedgley Way and Poplar Drive in Philadelphia.
This massive event is better than the average block party, according to the organizers. Families, friends and neighbors are invited to take a break from the heat, speeding through three city blocks on inner tubes. Along with the one‐of‐a-kind slide, the block party will include food, music, local vendors and street entertainers. Sliding starts at 9 a.m.
