Wissahickon's 'Hidden Histories' Coming To Chestnut Hill
A new photo galley will show off the unique and unknown aspects of Wissahickon Valley Park's, and the watershed's, history
CHESTNUT HILL, PHILADELPHIA – Friends of the Wissahickon and the Chestnut Hill Conservancy are celebrating the conservancy's 50th anniversary with a special photo gallery opening next month. The gallery will highlight the unique history of Wissahickon Valley Park.
A new exhibit called "Hidden Histories of the Wissahickon" will open Tuesday, Sept. 12 at the Friends of the Wissahickon headquarters, 40 W. Evergreen Ave., Suite 108, Philadelphia.
The gallery will features historical photographs demonstrating the long and varied history of Wissahickon Valley Park.

Those who view the gallery will be taken on a visual journey of the park and the watershed's history.
An opening ceremony will be held from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The opening will feature beer, wine, and light refreshments.
After the grand opening, the gallery will be open during normal business hours at the Friends of the Wissahickon headquarters.
