Woman Critical After Being Shot In Mt Airy Sunday Night: Police

Police said a 31-year-old woman is in critical condition after being shot once Sunday night in East Mt. Airy, police said.

MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA – A woman is in critical condition following a shooting in East Mt. Airy Sunday night, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said a 31-year-old woman was shot at about 9:02 p.m. on Sunday.

She was shot once in the back while on the 6600 block of Chew Avenue, police said.

Police said she was rushed to Einstein Medical Center where she was placed in critical condition.

Police have not made an arrest and have not recovered a weapon.
