As crews work on the Walnut Lane Bridge, the Friends of the Wissahickon group is urging park goers to avoid the area and to use a detour.

PHILADELPHIA – As crews work on the Walnut Lane Bridge, a trail in the Wissahickon Valley Park is closing for just over a month. A local group is urging park goers and trail users to avoid a specific area.
The Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) group said a portion of the Yellow Trail, below the bridge, will close from Wednesday, Nov. 15 through Wednesday, Dec. 20.
The group is urging those who use the park and trail to follow all signage and safety barriers, as well to avoid the construction zone, as work is underway.
