• Stitches of tradition: Group creates patriotic quilt to raffle off in support of Abington Community Library (theabingtonjournal.com) — Clarks Summit residents can support the Abington Community Library by buying raffle tickets for a red, white, and blue America 250 quilt created by the “Always in Stitches” quilting group. The quilt is on display at the library, with tickets sold there or via Venmo through July 2 and a winner drawn July 6.

• PIAA SOFTBALL:Condrad powers victory in state opener (theabingtonjournal.com) — Abington Heights softball fans in Clarks Summit just watched a dominant state-playoff opener, as junior pitcher Adrianna Condrad struck out 16 and hit a two-run homer in a 6–0 win over Upper Moreland. Teammate Eva Kane added a two-run shot, and the Lady Comets advanced to Thursday’s PIAA Class 5A quarterfinal against West Chester East.

• Lackawanna County Court Notes, June 3, 2026 (thetimes-tribune.com) — Recent Lackawanna County court filings include a major South Abington property sale by Clarks Summit residents Charles Lee and Yu Sujin, plus an estate listing naming a Clarks Summit address on Winola Road. The roundup also covers other property transfers, marriage licenses, divorces, tax liens, and new estate administrations across the county.
