• Police officers, civilians honored for solving Lower Providence bus stop murder (pottsmerc.com subscription) — A Collegeville police officer and a Collegeville resident were among those honored for helping quickly capture a suspect in a 2025 fatal bus stop shooting in nearby Lower Providence. Montgomery County’s district attorney recognized their detailed eyewitness help and rapid police response, which secured key evidence and led to a long state prison sentence for the convicted shooter.
